The monk Fr. Boulos Khano, who is known as Dayroyo Boulos in the social media, is a 29 years old Syrian monk who lives in St. Mark’s Syrian Orthodox Convent in Jerusalem. Fr. Khano is a multi-talented monk, who excelled in different creative skills such as writing the Aramaic Language, singing Syrian Hymns, painting icons, and playing music. He wrote more than 2000 manuscripts for the Lord’s Prayer in Aramaic, and he both distributed and published them all over the world.
Fr. Khano met with many eminent personalities such as ambassadors, consuls, patriarchs and archbishops from different Churches and denominations, to whom he dedicated the Lord’s Prayer Aramaic-manuscripts he wrote.
Furthermore, Fr. Khano recorded several Aramaic hymns with his voice on a CD, of which he distributed more than 2500 copies throughout the last couple of years. He also travelled to many European countries such as Sweden, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Vienna and others, in order to publish his work and accomplishments.
One of the most notable artwork he did is his drawings, where he drew more than 100 different religious paintings, which he used in calendars in order to remain circulated in people’s hands.
Fr. Khano received many appreciation gift in the form of “Armors” as an encouragement to pursue his noble mission in disseminating the Aramaic-Syrian heritage to the world. Examples of the armor gifts he received are those from the Slovakian ambassador, from the director of the Bible Society in the Holy Land, from the head of the local Presbyterian Church, and from the leader of the Syrian scout in Bethlehem.
Fr. Khano is now well known in many social networking sites for his widespread artwork, through which he seeks to spread God’s Word in different and simple ways.
Finally, several media channels interviewed Fr. Khano. Examples of these channels would be Reuters (in English and Arabic languages), Al-Jazeera media, the Christian channel in the Holy Land and the whole world, which was translated to eight different languages.
